Ratchet & Clank, referred to as Ratchet & Clank (PS4) on Insomniac Games' official website, is a remake of the original Ratchet & Clank released in 2002 that ties in directly with the Ratchet & Clank movie, which retells the events of the original game. It was developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was released in April 2016, shortly before the movie was released in theaters. Insomniac have referred to the game as a "new beginning" for the Ratchet & Clan
