Japanese Kazuhiro Aoshima and Sayuri Hashimoto are busy making Indian bread at Japanese house-cum-studio to commemorate the centenary of Poet Rabindranath Tagore's first visit to Japan, at Purbapally in Santiniketan, Birbhum dist, on January 8, 2018 in Kolkata, India. A six-member team from Japan is helping poet-curator Nilanjan Bandyopadhyay to build a traditional Japanese house-cum-studio as part of a cross-cultural creative experiment. Poet-curator Nilanjan Bandyopadhyay has embarked on the cross-cultural creative experiment in 2016, the centenary year of the Nobel laureates' first Japan visit. Poet Rabindranath Tagore was so impressed with Japanese arts, architecture and gardens that he had once written, had it been possible he would take an entire Japanese house, decked up with its furniture, to Bengal.
