In Pokémon Brown, there are new type mechanics added to the ones normally occurring in Gen I. The later types Steel, Dark and Fairy are added, and some types have changes to their weaknesses and resistances. There are also six entirely new types: Abnormal, Gas, Sound, Tri, Wind and Wood.
