Endermites are Hostile Mobs that were added in Update 1.0. Endermites have a 1/20 chance of spawning after the use of an Ender Pearl, and a 1/100 chance when an Enderman teleports. Endermites' movement and appearance is almost identical to that of a Silverfish; however, they will not enter Blocks. Endermites will attack Players within 16 blocks of them, and will despawn within 2 minutes, regardless of the Player's distance from the Endermite.
