Fisheries story: Fishing techniques - Trolling

Descrição
This fishing technique is trolling. It is the most widespread fishing method to target nearshore pelagic fish in most of the Pacific islands. It is practiced from canoes, outboard and inboard powered boats by subsistence, artisanal, commercial, recreational and charter boat (game) fishers. Trolling involves towing the mainline, attached to a monofilament or wire cable leader with an artificial lure(s) or natural bait, which should be as fresh as possible. When trolling, the longest lines go out first and should be outside the shorter lines. The latter should be pulled in first, and the longest lines last.
