Magnus Carlsen and Hikaru Nakamura played 8 games with a short time control (10 minutes plus 5 seconds) in the final day of the Fischer Random match (unofficial Fischer Random world championship). The world champion won the first game, then three draws followed. Having defeated his rival in the fifth encounter, Carlsen won the match with three games to spare. The sixth game was won by the Norwegian as well, then Nakamura celebrated victory in the seventh one, and finally the eighth battle
