This environment was actually really cool to work on as the original concept of the “Pandemic” gameplay mode stemmed from this very space. For all intents and purposes, SCP-008 is effectively the equivalent of a zombie virus, weaponised at some point for biological warfare. As such, I tried to combine the clinical aspects of a virology lab with an industrial/military storage complex. The result was a mix between loading bay, laboratory and ICT room to support the different technicians needed to work around researching the virus. To add a little story to the renders, I decided to leave empty viral cartridge slots, overturned chairs and abandoned equipment to evidence an evacuation in a hurry.
