You can disagree, and that's perfectly okay 😄 Numerous producers tend to overuse glue compression simply because it’s often touted as an essential technique. However, it’s important to recognize that this isn’t the only method for achieving dynamic coherence. In many instances, expansion can be a valuable alternative, especially when your goal is to attain a loud master. You might wonder why one would opt for generating more peaks instead of compressing them. Isn’t that going to lead to less headroom, thus less attainable volume on the master? In some cases, yes But if you pair expansion wisely with proper clipping and limiting, the result is quite the opposite. It becomes a great tool to get more loudness and add energy to your songs. Give it a try! ☺️”
